An adult movie theater suffered "ificant smoke and water damage" after a Monday evening fire, according the Chattanooga Fire Department.
Although the business was occupied when the fire was discovered, no one was injured, Garner said. At the scene, Battalion Chief Rick Boatwright said customers reported hearing "a loud boom" accompanied by the smell of smoke.
Eight fire companies responded to the incident and had the blaze under control within 15 minutes from the time it was reported, Boatwright said. When firefighters arrived, they encountered heavy smoke outside the building and aggressively fought an interior blaze.

Firefighters responded to a fire at an adult cinema located in the block of Rossville Boulevard. No dollar estimate was available concerning fire-related damages. Garner said the fire is under investigation.
